How We Process our Cashews
Drying
Effective drying prevents mold growth and preserves cashews for year-round processing and storage.
Storing
Our carefully controlled warehouse safeguards raw cashews, ensuring optimal storage conditions and protection from pathogens and insects.
Steaming
Raw cashew nuts are steamed so as to soften their outer shell ahead of shelling.
Shelling
Our shelling process is fully mechanised preventing any burn risk for our employees. Machines crack the steamed raw cashew nut to release the valuable cashew kernel.
Mechanical & Manual Peeling
Mechanical peeling removes up to 85% of the cashew skin, with the remaining 15% requiring manual peeling due to the cashew's shape.
Grading & Packing
Cashews are sorted using optical sorters, undergo a final killstep through UV disinfection, and are vacuum-sealed with controlled moisture, with lot code traceability.
